Delawares - comb points and other falts?

One thing to know is that pullets can start out with tail barring, but those, if you see them, are usually extra long tail feathers and at some point molt out and she gets her tail black. My Phoebe was one of them and her tail black is good. Gracie has some barring in her tail at 15 weeks, but they are exactly what I said, more like rooster sickles and I see other proper feathers coming in with her tail black. That is one reason you really cannot cull out these till they are around 20 weeks old and know for sure what you're letting go.

Last I heard the new APA was due out at the Nationals. Which - I've forgotten the dates for, but is right around now. I've been saving up for the color APA this year, just because it's pretty though the B/W edition is as useful and tons cheaper. I just happen to love colored art drawings. So I have to have it.

Just hatched my last three dels for 2009, we'll see what the group looks like for spring. If you find the current APA for sale let us know.

Black and white is under 20, color is over 60... They get us because we LIKE the PRETTY COLORS... OF course it DOES cost a TON more in printing prices to make color editions, so I do understand.

Whats the APA? I know the current SOP is available at Randall Burkey- my DH got me one. Are they the same thing? I have not heard about an update of the SOP.

That is quite a difference in price but you are right color is more expensive and I like you, like pretty pictures! Guess I will start tucking those quarters away, it is amazing how much you can save with a change jar!

The colored pictures sure help if you have birds where the shade or depth of a color matters. The written word sometimes just doesn't get the idea across.
