Absolutely one of the common problems with big forums is that misinformation can spread like wildfire, and is difficult to address without things getting heated. I pretty quickly put people on my block list if I feel they are coming after me or posting bad info. But then that makes reading through threads more difficult.

Ok - I understand your upset with the internet professors ? I understand and people need to realize on the net it could be a 10 year old psycho typing info .
I always verify 3 other places before I take it as fact . Well , thats unless Grasshopper says it .
All but two threads I frequent here are Del related [ thats because I read all 10,000 pages on Dels] and the other two are the Homesteading and Bobs old thread just
for old times sake.
One reason to hang here is to promote this breed - which I guess we are all here to do. A lot of people are looking for quality Dels to breed forward . This line has them.
Some don't know the difference . Education- Maybe thats why we are here. Don't know just a guess.

I am humbled that you don't want to do facebook because I'm not there. I can do it if need be. Wife says she will set me up.
But there are assets on this site too and like any you need to find them and weed out the negative.

I do point people here who want to know about Delawares, especially this line. Saves me a lot of typing. And like Zanna, it's my archive. Very useful on hot days like this when my brain has melted.

I have a FB account but forgot my info to access it. However I've listened to folks complain that this person or that person "unfriended" them and in my mind what's the difference?

Except of course here you can't "unfriend" anyone. You can however ignore them as one person has done to me. It hurt, but I've been at the same church for nearly 40 years and developed a thicker skin. Lord have mercy you can't be at the same church for that long and not upset someone else or someone else upset you. It's just the way life is. So you forgive and move forward. Easier said than done I'm sure.

Now as far as the "experts" are concerned? I just take it all with a grain of salt. Lord knows I've read more off BYC about how to raise chickens and treat them and what works and what doesn't. They don't all agree.

Lately I've been saying the good lord gave us two ears and placed them on opposite sides of our heads so stuff can go in one ear and out the other. We get to pick and choose what to stop and what to let keep on going.

We have a little problem here;
This is a pic of one game cam that is on the back side off the chicken Enet- the camera has its back to a patch of woods and where you see the Fawn walking is a little cut thru path. The chickens would be in the area on the other side of the Enet


OK now look at this picture - same camera - do you see anything out of place ?

Yes its Vulpes vulpes - better known as Brer Red Fox.
And no chickens were injured in this filming I want ya to know. Why /how it got in I don't know.
The time of this pic the chickens were well out of the coop because thats EDT.
Maybe he wasn't hungry and was just cutting thru. He has been currently eating
our plums that fall off the tree. Do you think he was just full of plums?
Maybe this fox is vegetarian .
How did it get in and out - don't know that either . Saw a couple loose places between posts and tightened them
with irrigation hose clips. Just don't see evidence of entry.
Secret tunnel maybe . Shaw shank redemption but breaking in not out.
Been counting chickens every day and they are all there . All 19
