Opinions please. Here are the 4 pullets I have left after the one upended itself in the feeder and died. I don't think there are any that I can work with. The only one of the 4 that has nice yellow legs has Columbian pattern on her neck. The other 3 have barred tails. These are 4 months old now. I have two cockerels and they still have a lot of black speckling all over their backs.

The one with nice yellow legs but Columbian pattern:

Pullet #4 (sorry for the blurring, she would not stop moving)

This shows 2 of the pullets next to the first one with the nice yellow legs. You can sure see the difference when they are side by side:
Pullets 2 and 3 look the cockerels to me.

I'll try to get some better, more recent pics of my two today and see if I can show you their coloring and conformation as well. It's interesting to see how all these fine offspring are developing. I'm even more impressed with the White Rocks Kathy sent me...show stoppers, they are... and so much better looking than my hatchery girls. And all of these pullets have amazing foraging and free range skills...we are surrounded by woodland full of predators and they are rarely inside the dog's range when they forage and they tend to live down in the woods. They have managed to survive all this time without a scratch...I can't even get near them unless there is food in the offing.

You can not go by tail marking on this line - at least the ones I have - I have some cross dressing cockerels that have the tail marking of hens LOL- I will try to get some Pics today

Exactly. I go by the head shape, comb size, where the comb ends--if it goes all the way down past the nostril = cockerel.

Here are my pullets. One is not shown, she had way too much solid black, so she's in the layer coop. I'm sending O39 out there, also, since she's so small. I'm not too worried about color right now, but for sake of discussion, I see better colored tails on the pullets with the Columbian type hackles. The pullets with barring on their hackles tend to have barring in their tail. B10 seems to be the exception, since she has the correct combination. She's also the second heaviest of the pullets.

Boy a lot of Columbian rock owners would love to have those boys. J/s
ETA or the color/pattern of them was my meaning
Jeff

Well those two also are not good type in my opinion or I would start the bidding LOL - I think the one directly behind is going to be #1 but still giving it time.
These ckr are not very good at free ranging - the hang within 20 feet of the coop/feeder unless I'm working up close to the fence away from the coop. Then they come to investigate to see if there is food involved LOL The Del pullets on the other hand are first out of coop and last in ranging the entire fenced area . And this new group of five slept outside in a ragweed patch the first 3 nights they were put with flock until I figured out what was going on and educated them to the coop roost. They still don't roost with the others but on the nest box rail . But its in the coop so alls good.
