Delay in egg laying

It has been my expierence that most sex link breeds lay pretty early but my friend has one black sex link that is 6 months old and still nothing. Is she just a late bloomer or should my friend be concerned? She gives lots of treats, feeds lay crumbles, has backyard to roam around but I believe she is the only chicken that she owns. Could this have anything to do with it?

Chickens are flock animals and I'm sure her lone hen would appreciate a friend or two.
Six months is a rough guideline, even for the power layers. I'm sure she'll lay soon.
