Delmarva Poultry Show 2011

Quote:
It is the 5 and 6th, Saturday and Sunday. Like any 2-day show, most of the "action" happens on Saturday. By mid-day Sunday everything will likely have wrapped up, as Sunday a.m. will be the final judging for grand champions of the show and presentation of awards. So if you are coming just to check it out and not to exhibit, come Saturday! And yes, there will be sale birds. If you're looking for sale birds you'll have the best chance of finding what you want if you come early on Saturday.

Hello,
Does anyone have details about this show? What time on Saturday does it start and what breeds will be there? We are just getting started and were hoping to see different breeds of chickens. Sound like this show is mostly silkies?
Thanks.

check in for the birds starts friday night and the show is all day saturday into sunday morning... silkies are always a popular breed but i can assure you this show will be very diverse. Since you are just getting started this would be a very good first show.

I will be there with my hubby and 5 Cochin Bantams (Mille Fleur and Splash) and 2 Butterscotch Call ducks! Hope to meet more BYC'ers. Please introduce yourselves to me if you see me, I will be wearing a white T-shirt with one of my Butterscotch Calls on it. So will my hubby, HaHa! We have booked a room at the Super8 Motel. Where are y'all staying? Anyone else going to the Super8?
