dented robin egg

so the other day me and my friend found a robin egg that fell out the nest so we took it home and then today i put it outside (it slept in my room i made sure the temp. was warm enough) and my dog was laying by the door so i reached for the door knob and dented my egg on it so right now im freaking out will peeps live? (thats his name) and if so how do i fix the dent?

I actually think I've heard of this before but I can't remember exactly. I would just keep him under the light and I'm not sure how to fix the dent but I'm afraid if you tried he might get hurt in there. You could call an avian veterinarian and ask them what they think but just don't give up hope on little peeps because I'm sure he appreciates you saving him more than you could ever imagine! Also make sure your turning him extremely carefully about 3-5 times a day so his embryo doesn't get stuck to the side of the shell (this can be extremely dangerous). I do think that the biggest thing you can do to help this little guy is just ask Jesus to help him! I found an upside down bleeding dying fish one time and I put my hand on him and prayed for him and as soon as I lifted my hand he turned over and we returned him from a bucket we had to the water!
