One of my hens (I haven't yet figured out who) has been laying eggs with shells that seem to have calcium deposits on them (See photo). I'm wondering why and what I can do to rectify if. I also occasionally get these eggs with white specks all over them. Is this the same thing, or something different? Thanks in advance!

The specks are pigment or maybe excess calcium? The egg with the deposits is definitely excess calcium. Generally not too much of an issue, but maybe look into how much calcium your birds are getting (i.e. some folks mix extra calcium in with their feed).

I get them too, but don’t add calcium to the feed. I do however dry and crush their eggshell and feed them back to the hens. Is this a bad idea?

Feeding eggshell back to chickens is fine as long as it's not mixed in so they can take as much or as little as needed for their calcium needs.
