Deposits on eggs

Looking through CL found this.... anybody have any tips for them? Remember - a chicken in every backyard!

It looks like extra calcium deposit on the eggs.

Looks like extra calcum carbonate to me. Since they say some of it wipes off, just makes me think more that it's C.C. because that's what chalk is made of and it wipes off. ?

so is there anything they can do?

I haven't had the problem so I don't know what to do about it. Maybe someone on here who's had the problem can help?
