I posted before saying I have a hen who is egg bound, but I really don't think she is. I can feel no egg. She doesn't move around much, doesn't stand upright anymore and is still not laying. I thought that if she's egg bound she will die within 48 hours? It's been six days now.

So far I've made sure she has food and water, given her a warm bath and let her eat an egg with crushed tums. My other hens picked on her so I took her out and put her in a tote with hay and food and water.

Right now she's sleeping in some hay near the window (the sun is warm on her). Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Sounds just like my hen. My 4-year-old BR has been like this for weeks now and still not sure what's wrong. I took a fecal sample to my vet that came back negative for parasites. She's eating and drinking though not as much as usual, walks slowly, tail down, poops fine, some weight loss, lots of lying on the ground, and sometimes has problems going up into the coop so I have to pick her to put her in at night.
