Depressed Silkie Rooster?

He's been crowing every morning so unless hens can do that too I have no idea

Ok he's most likely a rooster then... again, I know it seems like a dumb question but sometimes it can happen with silkies. Hens actually can crow, but usually only when they aren't around any other roosters and so they need to become dominant. But if I were you I would follow @DuckMochi's advice... he's most likely just scared because he's been thrown in with a bunch of strangers. So if he continues the behavior I would separate him out, but so he can still interact with the others and so they can establish a pecking order without hurting each other. The biggest thing though, is make sure he doesn't get bullied away from the food or water.

Yes what @Arya28 said. If he's getting bullied he might become too scared to go near the food and water. That's why separating him is probably the best. Give him his own set of food and water so he can be comfortable but still be around the hens. I think that would be your best bet!

I have three silkies, two of whom have a lot of fluff covering their eyes (the third one doesn't have as much fluff over the eyes). They can see, they just can't see up real well. I've noticed though that if we have perches high that the others can reach, the silkies generally can't fly up there by themselves. We built our rooster his own little perch he can reach, and we put our hens up on their perches.

He needs a safe place to build his confidence..He is a young Cockerel amongst Adult Hens and Pullets...Separate him into a pen so the Hens can visit him without being able to chase him off...Toss some scratch close to his pen so the Hens come to peck around....
Best wishes....
