Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

I'm not in the line of the storm, but we are already feeling it's effects here in TN. The temperatures dropped 25-30 degrees in a few hours and I thought I saw some sleet last night in my flashlight beam. The Faverolles love this cold weather, but the poor Cornish are shivering. I'm sure we will get some flooding here, but that's nothing new, we get that every couple months or so, I guess you can say we have temporary lake front property

Be safe everyone, I will be holding my breath reading the weather updates every few hours!

need to have folks check in when they can- the news out of ny and jersey aren't good

I'm in Upstate NY and we didn't get hit nearly as hard as I thought we would. I'm especially happy about that because I have eggs due tomorrow, the first from my own birds, and I was terrified I'd lose power. All is well, though. I hope Fud Lady faired as well as I did!

We faired ok here as well ... was worried about my eggs in the bator too ... no power lose and today is hatch day .. not a single pip yet but

the flickers did not hurt them .. never got temp lower than 97 so hoping they are still good to go .. good luck to you as well ... hoping everyone is ok !!!

All is good here in central Mass.....coops are a bit swamped, so they both got mucked out today. I even let the chickens out to play in the rain yesterday, they were happier out in the rain & wind than being all cooped up. Silly birds!

Fud Lady and family here-- we're all just fine! Soggy and muddy but fine.

The hens used this muddy day to completely destroy every last scrap of vegetation on the run expansion, so now it's a mud pit. Looks like I will be hauling gravel for the next several days!
