Panic Pants

Today I had to go out to the farm where Panic Pants lives. For those that haven't read the entire thread, he is the EE roo that I had to give away (well before Trousers) because he was trying to kill Lorp and Derp. I told the farmer why he had to go, and he put him in with a bunch of very sassy RIRs. They sure showed him some manners!

Anyhow, I hadn't seen him since then. I washed up, changed clothes, shoes, and further washed my shoes with OdoBan just in case (I do not want to spread Marek's). I picked up some straw for my garden, which is why I had gone, and then went to visit the animals. The farmer warned me that Panic Pants ("the rooster"-- his chickens aren't named) had grown to be a feisty, chunky bird. He told me of how Panic would fly up onto the backs of his Clydesdale horses and ride them so that he could get into the rafters of the barn. "Careful that he doesn't get you," he told me. I thanked him for the warning, and went right over and picked Panic up. The farmer was pretty surprised! No struggle, no fuss, he just relaxed the same way I remember him. Now, I don't know if he remembered me or if he could tell that I wasn't about to take any nonsense from him, but that's how it went. He's heavy enough now that I didn't want to put him up on my head or shoulder the way I used to so I just carried him for a few minutes and talked to him. He chatted back, a little!

He's doing well. His comb looks very silly! As if someone painted a walnut red and glued it to his nose.
