That's great. You are such a good story teller! I just read the whole first egg story to my kids, and they thought it was funny too.

This week, with snow finally in the forecast, the Fud Lady and her husband set to covering the grill up for the season. They like to be as environmentally friendly as they can be within reason, so they used an old discarded shower curtain instead of buying a new tarp. The shower curtain works great, though one can see through it.

All was well until Derperella realized.... She could not find her best friend, Grill!!

"GRILL?? WHERE ARE YOUS?"

"GRILL?! OH HAI IS THAT YOU?"

"IS OKAY NOW. I FINDED GRILL."

Just as soon as the drama started, it had ended. Derp located her friend, the Grill, and decided that it must be okay, all wrapped up in its winter coat. As you might imagine, she became quickly distracted when she heard the Fud Can being rattled. That meant sunflower seed treats. Gosh, she did like those. She liked them a lot. Sometimes she wished that her crop could be full of them all the time.

The Fud Guy has the Fud Can! It has seeds inside, she just knows it.
Her 'sister', Coho, is so ready for the treats to be in her crop that she started trying to eat the Fud Guy's fingers.

The Fud Guy took a big handful of seeds and tossed them into the grass for the other chickens to go find and eat. Derperella stared off into the distance. Something happened, she had the feeling. Perhaps... something important. Something to do with sunflower seeds? .... but, she just couldn't remember. Meanwhile, the other chickens were merrily eating every last seed, while Derp stared and got none.
Carefully, quietly, the Fud Guy showed Derperella the Fud Can. The one with Fud in it. OH! That's right! Now she remembered...
Up she hopped, into the Fud Guy's lap, to have some seeds all to herself.
The Fud Guy had to hide the seeds with his hand after a while, so that Derperella didn't explode. Chickens normally don't explode from eating too many seeds, but the Fud People never take chances with Derp. She's not a normal chicken.

Suddenly remembering that the Fud Guy had tossed seeds to the chickens earlier, Derp hopped down again! Nevermind that it happened ten minutes ago. Details are trivial.
Soon she started looking for extra seeds.
She didn't find any... but she did enjoy staring at other things.

"I FOUND IT!"

("It" being nothing at all, apparently. But it required Staring, nonetheless. To do otherwise at this point would be silly.)

Ok, you know you're really far gone when you catch yourself staring at the screen for a solid minute, trying to figure out what Derp is staring at, despite being told it's nothing.

Derp's just such a charismatic leader, I couldn't help but follow!

I'm sure Derp is looking at the fine lines in the concrete, that's what I would stare at for hours. I like Coho's hen saver. Derp doesn't have one.
