I only just found the Derp thread today and it's been a marvelous read! I love that you nursed her along, helped her grow and absolutely adore her "special-ness"! Thank you so much for sharing (and I definitely have to subscribe now!)

I thought you might all like to know that Derp is doing well, and has laid three small eggs since her first one (so, 4 in total now). They are nice healthy looking eggs! I'm so glad that her less than perfect body is cooperating and letting her live as a normal hen.
