a far shot, but could it be vitamin related?? i am working with a silky that lost the ability to stand and after a few weeks on asprin and vitmins he is walking again

Oh no, poor boy, I'm so sorry. I hope it is not Marek's, but sadly you are all too familiar with Marek's symptoms. We will have to wait for the blood test results.

At least he is enjoying his food. I know he is getting a lot of tender loving care, but give dear Puddles extra pets from all of us. We are pulling for him.

Thank you all for your support! So far the news is that he is not getting better... but.. he is also so far not getting worse. He still eats very well for me, his droppings look as lovely as a chicken poo can look, he drinks well, and has no other signs... other than his legs just not working.

I will let you know once I find anything else out or if anything changes. So far, he hasn't gotten worse...

The Metacam is a pretty strong anti-inflammatory drug, but I will ask the vet tomorrow!

Additional vitamins to his feed? No. His feed has all of the supplements I'd give for this condition, really.

well, at least with silkies, they tend to get anemic, so they get extra vitamins- don't know if it would make a difference for him, don't know that it would harm him though-
