Derperella, the (weird) Faverolles, & Friends

Fud Lady how is Coho doing? I think about her often and am subscribed to her thread but, no news of late. Hope she is steadily recovering.

Hi Nambroth. can we have some new derpy pictures please?

I will get some as soon as I can! Thank you, Derp Fans, for bearing with me this winter. The weather here makes it really hard, if not impossible, to get photos sometimes. Our winter has been strange... right now it's a sheet of ice and it's pouring rain on top of it outside. I have bruises on my butt to prove it!

Unfortunately I'd ruin my camera if I went out with it on days like today. I tried taking it into the coop with me to get some dry photos but Kua tried to eat it and was chasing Derp... it just wasn't happening.

Finally read all the thread of Derperella!!! (started late last nigth) And I just love it enjoy it all, your post and the forum members comments & pics... Derp was blessed for having you, otherwise i imagine she wont be able to survive and you are blessed for having her too i'm sure. I love Derp she is a lovely creature! And you are great writing, taking photos & your art is awesome I love Cho's portrait...definitely you should write a children's and chicken lover book about Derp and her loved ones :O) Please keep us updated! Many Blessings

I understand about the weather, yesterday we were 45degrees. Last night it rained heavily and washed almost all our snow away. Today it is supposed to drop like a stone and have low in the teens plus freezing drizzle, mixed precipitation etc. - all the icky stuff. Oh I forgot to mention strong winds. Then the weekend is supposed to hit 40's again. A most unusual winter - but at least it doesn't stay the same barren wasteland.

I am indeed and I have family in Jamestown. Some of my art will be shown in Jamestown in Feb-March this year. :)

Where will your work be shown? I'll pass the info onto my mom and dad, who live there. She's an artist (potter) and would be interested in seeing it!
I feel your pain re falling on the ice...I did that 2X last year here in NJ (freezing rain had our pens sheer sheets of slick ice!) and am still dealing with hip pain from those falls! Not a place for fussy cameras for sure!

Here's the info on the show: http://womencreate.wordpress.com/the-exhibit/ The duck painting right above the word "Create" in the little poster is mine. :)
