Exactly! We breed Mini Labradoodles (Apricot & Buff only) and Mini Poodles (Buff & Apricot). Both our Poodles & Labradoodles are bread for intelligence, temperament, and health.

Labradoodles were originally bred to be therapy dogs. That's how intelligent, gentile and focused they are.

Ours could have easily been a therapy dog but we just wanna love her like she loves us.

Yep, one of our puppies went on to assist an elderly man in daily life.

We're responsible breeders, one litter a year, and our litters are always small (5 max per litter).

And that's my point. There will always be good and bad breeders in any line. But the mix here is a good mix. She's a very good dog and I would recommend her breeder to anyone......and I have. Before this we had some pedigree and some mutts. All were good.

To say that Designer dogs ( if you care to call them that.....we don't ) are not good is a fallacy. Depends on THE breeder. We were very fortunate.

I've owned many many dogs in my lifetime, and two of my favorites are mutts. the first was back when my parents were breeding and somehow we ended up with a Rott/Shephard mix. I kept one of the larger males and we gave away the rest. 120+ lbs later he finally lived up to the name Zeus and was the kindest, gentlest dog I've ever had.

My wife's dog is either a boxer/pit or boxer/shep mix (according to vet) who is also one of the biggest babies and often tries to crawl into my lap during a thunderstorm. Neither dog was as cagey or as snippy as my purebred collie. The only thing I have a hard time with is the prices.... I can't see paying hundreds to thousands of dollars for a designer dog. Any mutts I've ever owned were either given to me, or I had them for the cost of the shots.

A good majority of Chihuahua litters need to be C-sectioned...& Mini Yorkies...

Yes, you are right. I'm not sure if you're trying to throw that back at me or your just adding to the point?
In any case, I don't breed for itty bitty breakable chi's so my dogs never need a c- section. Technically people shouldn't breed a female chi that really little and that is often cause for c-sections.
It's not fair to breed a dog, and do multiple surgeries so someone could make a few bucks at the dogs risk.
It makes me soo mad when I see "Chiweenie" pups being sold the structure they have looks so awkward and wrong to me.
Don't get me wrong I love Dachshunds it's just the mix that bothers me.
