If it would help to move it along I can add a couple bantam cochin eggs. I can't guarantee that they are pure, 90% sure. Pullets in the pen are red, black, gold laced and self blue. Roos in red, barred, black and self blue. The two in charge are black and self blue. I think that the self blue and black are laying but there is a polish in their as well so it could be her. I plan on using coloring to find out which ones are laying. The top of the pen is open and my free range roos could possibly get in. I am checking fertility and then when my breeding book gets here will be separating. I just set 10 eggs today. The first egg I set wasn't fertile. So I make no gaurantees. My blacks are sq and seem to be having issues.

How cute! Now I really can't wait!! Thankfully, I have some silkie eggs hatching this weekend to distract me until then

I'll keep you updated with yours! I think its a miracle that all six of them are developing right on track considering not only that they were shipped, but the other 2 eggs in the same box were completely shattered. It will be so much fun to see what I get. I love surprise hatches!

I can offer 6+ of these:

Not a clue what they are, but they lay a large cream colored egg. A lot of double yolkers too (but I won't send those!

) Fertility is great, 2 roos over 6 hens. I can't send out until Monday though....I have an order going out tomorrow or Wednesday, and I don't want to send over the weekend. Just FYI.

My eggs from Riffecreek came today and were packed amazingly in foam inserts. Best packing ever! I can't wait to see what sweet little chicks hatch!

Best I can guess is some kind of leghorn cross maybe? They lay a cream colored egg, and they are actually pretty good layers. I thought they were meaties when I first got them, but they are obviously a dual purpose with the way they lay.

I would say those have no leghorn in them. They have no white in their ear lobes, dont lay white eggs, and have absolutely no leghorn shape, tail carriage, or type. They look like some sort of rock cross.

Ok, Rock crosses then!

I just have no clue, but they are good birds. I can throw in a few silkie eggs from my porcelain/lavender pen to help the offer, BUT I have NO guarantees on fertility out of that pen yet. I keep thinking any day, but so far I haven't seen anything.

The hen/pullet in the pic kind of reminds me of a cornish. Maybe someone was trying to make themselves a meat bird. Cornish over white rock? How heavy are they?

Ok I will take them..

I will offer

6 + Mixture of wyndottes
or
4 turkey eggs.

This is how the are penned now.
Pencilled Palm tom with 2 royal palm hens.
I just sold my royal palm tom as of today so
eggs should still be pure.
3 blue slate toms with 7 blue slate hens. All pure blue slates
1 bourbon red tom with 2 bourbon red hens and
2 pencilled palm hens.

I have not checked fertility on the turkeys.
They taste good thou!
