I actually have a request of you guys!
I absolutely ADORED the Loki show, and want to draw a Loki and Sylvie inspired pair of chickens. I am having trouble finding a rooster and hen I like as reference for them. Does anyone have the PERFECT rooster or hen to model as Loki and Sylvie?

This is my second season hatching! I hatched 6 clutches last season between a broody and incubator. Its the last month of winter now, so I'm separating my flock into breeding pens for next month. The clutch in the incubator is a favor for a friend who's favorite hen died, and these are her last eggs. The broody hen is the second pullet from last season to go broody. The first didn't hatch anything, but this one is sitting much better and I candled some of the eggs and at least some are developing!

Also, only a few minutes after posting I heard cheeping. I have a day 19 pipped egg! Its the one egg in the clutch from a different mother, which was only included because the hen who died only had 11 good eggs left and there was a spare slot. The pipping baby is Buff Silkie X Mottled D'Uccle, the rest are Partridge smooth satin X Buff Silkie.

Could this be a Blue Australorp instead of black? I am totally gaga in love with the blue coloring. Even more so since I got 2 blue chicks two months ago.
