No, we've had a rather crappy summer. A week of summer weather then two weeks of fall weather....lol Last week we had a low of 44 one night. But I'm not really complaining cause I hate overly warm/hot weather too..lol

I know I was did you end up having to let them take your flock? I guess I am hopeful that they changed minds. Sorry if they did and this is hard to talk about, I have a hard time believing this really happens.

went back to quarantine status, which is OVER and they passed fine

.. while i'm currently able to sell birds and eggs within the state of VA, i'm not .... i have two friends that i've given birds to before ALL OF THIS, and this past weekend i have given them the polish and some silkies that i hatched right before QT ... gonna hold off for now on starting w/ other breeds and i'll still get to visit the polish

... i'm AI clean, and i plan on becoming npip this fall or winter, so i can sell eggs w/ confidence...if i should order ANY eggs in the future, they're getting a room of their own ( i'll probably remove and wash the eggs BEFORE i get them home, and discard the boxes and packing in a tightly sealed garbage bag and drop it off at a local dumpster) --- and yes, i'm serious but laughing at myself as well...

i get goosebumps (HAH) when i think about what almost was and just how fortunate i am...

ME TOO !
Our weather has dried up about April, and gotten hot (just like NorCal) at about 90-105 and nights drop, to about 60-70.
The weird part is we are on the coast, s o we have fog, blessed lovely fog !
And keeps us at 60-65 degrees F.

And usually it cooks off about 2-3 PM...
But lately, when it cooks off, we zooooooooooom to 105, instantly !
It fries the garden, and plants not used to Heat or so much radiation.
It fires the animals & birds and Us too.
Still. we have had no rain. I am starting to feel what Australia has been going through...
