I had silkie eggs shipped in and one was a dud and now one has a wonky air cell.
Is it detached? And does it effect the hatch rate? It’s day 16-17

there is no way of telling from that picture if the cell is detached or not. you'll need to take a video of moving the egg around while candling. post it on youtube or a similar platform and link it here

that air cell is abnormally large, it most likely was saddleshaped to start with but to assess an egg on day 16 for a detached air cell when a detached air cell is most noticeable on day 1 is not a great place to start investigating.
Regardless if it did have one or a saddleshaped one, it looks like it has lost too much moisture and is not developed enough.
This makes me believe both humidity and temperatures have not been kept high enough.

What humidity has your incubator been running at?

If that was my egg I'd try to keep humidity as high as possible, lockdown should be any time anyway, you will have to see if it will affect the hatch, it might be fine but it does look like it could go either way. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

It’s been running at around 40% and the two other silkie eggs I have both have smaller air cells and have been treated the same. They’re going into lockdown tonight
