Some people weigh egg individually, others weigh the whole batch. Since you don't have the smaller scale yet, maybe you could weigh all of you quail eggs together with the food scale?

I think individually will be better even if it isn't as precise.

Not positive, but I think the accuracy on many food scales is +/- 3 grams, so maybe do each one individually, but do them all together too.

Kiki, I’m gonna email you a couple spreadsheets that I used for my first few hatches.

Oh, this might be harder with quail because they are so small, but with peachicks I put colored zip ties on their legs and weigh them at hatch.
