In the Brooder
I have a New Hampshire red hen that has been broody now for 2 weeks.
I throw her off the nest 3 or 4 times a day and cover the nests at night.
She will not let the other hens in the nest, as they all(4) want to use the same nest.
She walks around with feathers ruffled and is constantly clucking.
She is still eating and will graze around for an hour or so and then right back to the nest.
She seems really confused.
I have had hens go broody before and after a few times of being removed from the nest they just forget about it.
Anyone have any fixes or do I need to get out the stew pot?
Thanks in advance
