Special animals only come to us every so often, but they leave an imprint on our hearts that lasts a lifetime. You gave him a wonderful life and in turn, he repaid you in love. You are both very lucky.

Cyn I'm so sorry. I didn't read all the posts but are you positive that the medication was what did it? Could it have been a coincidence? He must have had an allergy you couldn't have known about to happen that fast. I'm allergic to salycylics and penecillin and the only way you find out is to react. No one could have known and Hawkeye had about the best life a rooster could ever have had.
