devastated new mother duck

my sage only hatched out one duckling and it died just yesterday of unknown causes, now my sage is quacking loudly and going back to her nest to see if pheobe was there.

my question is, Is there any way i can comfort her --- shes not a big fan of me

is she with other ducks? maybe she needs a duckie friend? or lots of treats. they morn and get depressed in my opinion. Sorry for her loss. poor baby.
