Dewinterizing Coop

On my old raised coop, I remove the south side wind block first. Probably today, supposed to be 60s today. Then the west side and finally the north side. I leave the east side wind block on year round.View attachment 1727955 . It's clear plastic glued onto wood framework that's screwed on. Easy to install and remove. GC

What kind of plastic do you use? What kind of glue?

We put up heavy duty tarps that have grommets around the edge to allow for easy rolling up or down options around the run. We used these products:
7' x 12' Clear Premium Heavy Duty -14 mil- Poly TARP, Nursery/Greenhouse/Garden (Finish Size Approx. 6'6" x 11'6") and Ball bungee tie downs for easy use. The are easy to attach to the hardware cloth. We use some pavers we had left over from another project at the bottom to secure it.
It was well worth the cost, we have been opening up the run sides all winter long. When the weather is not good we simply lower the tarps.

Taking down the plastic today. We used dollar store clear shower curtains this year. They lasted well.

All the yard scraps wil get thrown in the run. Might clean out the coop shavings.
