Dewlap Toulouse and Size

I've seen your video a a lovely pair and full of promise. They'll slowly get better and better. In the early stages of development they can look a little rangy but thats when they're building their frame and then gradually fill out more and more. Around this time next year they'll look even better once their first full moult is completed.

With the goslings I usually look for evidence of good keels and overall type at around 12 weeks but they change so quickly. Ours are also decended from Holderread lines although we're trying to introduce this bloodline to our Buffs.

Enjoy them

Does anyone on here know where I can possibly purchase some buff dewlap toulouse geese? I have a pair of greys ordered from Holderreads but I want to breed buffs also.

Thank you Miss Lydia :)
I love the different looks in my yard and love the rarity. Here is a photo from couple weeks ago...that's my driveway flooded from all the rain. In the center is that little buff dewlap gosling...kind of stands out. Lol

This next photo- I just love. I have it on another post on here. My teal duck lost his mate in early spring....he attached himself to that one buff dewlap gosling. He walks in front of it and clears a path for it. It's just so cute watching him chase huge dewlaps.

How sweet of it to take up being protector, you have a beautiful flock. Do the other geese accept the lil Buff? I just noticed your in NC too, yep lots of rain here too. I think we're turning into a rain forest

They had stopped picking on the buff gosling and they are all in one pen but that gosling stays with the two baby ducks that I had in the brooder with. The two female adult buffs I have had took the whole flock of goslings from the Holderread's line- I think they are tired of raising babies. Lol It's been nice to get a little break from rain last couple of days. We live by swamps so the Mosquitos have been taking a number on my flock. I was finally able to get my grass cut and sprayed :) I usually only use DE for wormer but I think I'm going to have to use the liquid this time. I don't see any signs of worms but with the amount of mosquitos- I'm sure they are making my flock into lunch.
