Does humid hot weather cause floppy combs?

Yes, hot weather causes floppy combs, cold weather causes them to shrink and become tighter. Combs are part of their temperature regulation.

This is why large combed birds are recommended in high heat places, but are very prone to frostbite. When it gets cold, the blood vessels constrict to save body heat, and the tips of the combs freeze off.

In the heat, they are just letting off heat. Could need more water.
