Deworming

I will test this out on my dog vet tomorrow morning..just to see what they say...I am not going to tell them who I am though.
I'll report back in the am.

I love experiments!

It's like a science experiment that really can't go wrong.
I may not like the answer but at least I know I figured it out.
:ya

I'd be sure to ask..just call them over the phone..and say this...
"If I bring you some fresh poop in could you do a FECAL TEST for me?"

I know this just doesn't sound right....trust me..I'm killing myself laughing but I am dead serious.
I have no problems calling! It's for the best.

Great..you call yours and I will call mine.
Date: tomorrow morning...report back here as soon as the experiment is complete...Deal?

Just called the vet and I have to be a client. That is the law for the whole state! That's just ridiculous, just another way for the vet to charge me a whole bunch of money. I think I'm just going to do a broad spectrum worm for now and repeat in two weeks. I know they don't have a large load, we only found one when I slaughtered. I just thought I should start a worming schedule. It's spring and Wet here so now seems good. Thank you for all the information and conversation!

Reporting back.
I called my vet. I asked the person on who answered the phone...they giggled and put me on hold. The vet picked up and told me he doesn't see chickens and doesn't have the medicine for them. I basically cut him off, he was about to refer me to a different vet, and i c said...I just wanted to bring to poop in for the test..he said yes that he would test it. I then told him who I was and he laughed too!
He didn't know I had chickens! But he was willing to test the poop with out knowing I was a client.
So conclusion:
It just depends on the vet. Right? Oh and state I guess.

As I can see your from texas, this courtesy doesnt surprise me! Haha I was born and raised in the city up north and the vets around here like their money. I'm begging my sister to go back to school to specialize in poultry, hehe. I figured out how to load a profile picture and that is my Rooster. Not sure where to post more pictures but he is one of my favorites. The easiest to catch, love on and the first one running to me when I call.
