Hey, scary as it is, after my very reluctant FIL had his done he kept saying "I wish I had done this years ago!"

My sister is an ortho surgeon and she says they are getting faster and easier with shorter and shorter recovery times and she has not lost a patient to complications in ten years! I'll send you positive energy and good wishes!

(audible inhalation) If the hip replacement is anything like my dad's knee replacement, the surgery should be a breeze. It's the aftermath that tends to suck, especially the part when they take you off the pain killers. Best wishes to you both!
