He's got a couple more hours of freedom, then off he goes...
Today's gonna be the worst day, well for me anyways...
I drop Mike off at school. Take Ernie to the hospital for 9:30. Leave him. Go pick Mike up from Summer School, drop him off at home, go back to the hospital...
Operation's at 11:30 and supposed to take 2-3 hours. 2 hours in recovery, then to a room, then I get to see him late afternoon, probably around suppertime...oy...

I wish I could come and sit with you to give you company. Just know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you and Ernie both all day. When my sister was in the hospital last Jan. for a cancer diagnosis, she had lots of different tests run and several surgeries. I stayed with her the whole week while she was in the hospital. You want to talk about a lot of waiting! I kept myself busy by reading books, magazines, and playing LOTS and LOTS of Sudoku! That Sudoku saved me big time! There was one night that it was my turn to sit watch right after one of her surgeries and I played Sudoku all night long. Go and get a Sudoku book, know that Ernie and yourself are being prayed for, and all will be well. Please check in this evening and let us all know how his surgery went.

Gumpsgirl, If I were to do Sudoku...I'd be found drooling in a corner...LOL

I brought books and my MP3 player so I was prepared.
It took 3 hours to do his hip...the doctor said that putting the thing in was really easy, but opening him up and closing was a 6itch!
I was getting calls from Mike because a wasp got in the house and stung him and he wanted ME to get rid of it...
My inlaws are coming tomorrow and Thursday and they seem to want to spend the whole darned day there...I'M not even spending the whole day!
My FIL thought he was having a pin put in like when it's a broken bone!!! OY!!!

LOL! The Sudoku isn't bad after you learn how to do it. I learned how when my sister was in the hospital. Thank heavens there is different levels! LOL!

I'm glad to hear that Ernie came through okay. It sounds like Mike was having a time with you being away also. Good luck with the in-laws! It's only two days and this too, shall pass.
