DH is going to regret leaving me the truck!

Okay, this is this morning after I sanded the floor.

And here is a sample of what the tiles look like. I just set them in place to take the pic. I will wait and let DH double check the marks before sticking any down. Better to take the time for a second opinion than to be off and have to tear apart and redo.

I have redone lots of floors and I agree besure that the under floor is even with little or no difference in the seams or it will show and crack the new flooring..I used those peel and stick tiles in two bathrooms, washroom and one bedroom 13yrs ago and they still look good! BUT I added a little adhesive to each tile for an extra measure.. My mother poo-pooed the peel and sticks as "not very good" quailty...but these have out lasted a vinyl floor that I used in another bathroom and they STILL shine! I just damp mop with really hot water and they look great!

That is really gonna look nice & you sure will have worked hard enough for it, lol!! That will be one of my summer projects too...so I'll know who to ask for advice when I do, lol!! Good luck!!

Here is the pic taken lastnight-End of Day 5:

We have the tile around the outer edges that need trimming left to do. Today and tomorrow are busy days with other things that need doing so I'm not sure how much if anything we will get done.

It's really not that hard. Measure, mark, cut, lay down to double check, glue (keeps the creaks down and things together so the floors move as one instead of two), nail or if you have a portable air compressor, staple (set so it sinks the staples slightly), set nail, fill heads and seams, sand, put on whatever your top is going to be.

Thank you. I'll be glad when it's done and I can put my kitchen back to normal. At least today I have the dishwasher back!
