I know what you mean. We remodeled our kitchen last year and I felt like I would never be able to cook in it again. We painted everything including cabinets, put in new floors, changed out the switches, plug ins and all the covers, put in new counter tops, got a new ceramic stove, put in new French Doors in the dining room, put in new chandeliers in the kitchen, dining room, and hall, so I can relate to your anguish. It will be done soon and then you will have the pride of knowing you did it yourselves.
It is a nice old house. We have replaced all the windows, added insulation board, and sided. We redid the bathroom a couple years ago and the kitchen counter and sink a few years ago. About 10 years ago (when John Denver died) I stripped and refinished the kitchen cupboards. The upstairs was never finished so we refinished that. All the plumbing has also been redone. Then of course there is painting walls and trim. I'm so glad that we can do this ourselves.
DH is going to finish the kitchen floor, hopefully this weekend. I was going to work on it today and he said to leave it and he would work on it. The edge pieces that need cutting are left. We picked up new boards for the mop boards and I have those to prime and paint today. I'm going to see about cleaning the kitchen some too. Everything is full of dust.
I am so proud of you...looks great!!!Dont ever tell me that I cant do something just because I am a girl.....I die proving you wrong!! Thats my motto!!!
Good job.....now I think you can't possibly cook dinner!!! ha ha ha

They're gorgeous. We have some poor quality vinyl flooring that the doublewide came with. After a year, it's all ready dinged and scratched up. Plus it's WHITE. With two kids, a husband, a boxer and a yard full of mud, I'm
trying to keep up keeping the bloody thing mopped.
Gorgeous floor. Congratulations on a job well done.

We found them at Mills Fleet Farm. We had gone to Menards and the only thing they had that we liked was either the cheap thin stuff or the stuff you need to grout around-yes they have vinyl tile you need to grout.
DH just about has the outsides of the room done and I have the trim boards primed and painted twice. There was a patch to do on the wall where the old heat register was so I'm waiting for that to dry and then I can prime and paint it. There was an old big long register there and we are putting in the newer small style. The duct work is fine.
