DH needs pics of roosts and nestboxes...and a new question, post #12

I made 16x16x16 jumbo nest boxes to accomodate. birds of all sizes. I did not pitch the roof as the location of installation made it difficult. I did not think that the birds would have enough room to roost on top of it, but they did. So, I will have to add a sheet of vinyl or aluminum or something to the top to facilitate scraping poo off of.

Anyways, this 12 hole nest box sits three foot off of the ground with the top at nearly six feet. I do have about 50 LF of perches higher than that as well. The chicks love them.

Wow. Everyone's roosts and nestboxes look great.

This should give us some good ideas.

If I have two 4 foot sections of roosts, how far should the poop board/tray come out from the wall so they don't poop on the floor?

I was thinking 3 feet, but that seems like too much wasted space. Ideas?

Nice! I am looking to make a roost and some nesting boxes and this gave me some ideas.
