Dharma's Drama and Ponder's Problem update...

Oh! I love Dharma... just think what a boring life you'd have right now without him.

he may end up a cup of chicken TEA, too small for soup

Silly you, you know you couldn't do that.... he'd end up getting stuck in your throat and they'd have to call an ambulance and rush you to the hospital and probably go into surgery to remove the little fuzzball and then... think of all those medical bills!!

Chirpy, okay I'll try to think medical bills when I consider throttling the little varmit... But it's soooo HARD!

Okay, this is one of the funniest things I've read in a while! I can't wait to have my own! By chance do you have any pictures of the "little darling"? It's be great to see what the trouble maker looks like... before you throttle him that is...

What antics has Dharma been up to today?

I could totally do a Dharma Chronicle - We'll call it "Survivor" and see if someone finally votes his butt out of the chicken coop... I get the only vote...

but i'm admitting nothing.

I'll get pics of his sillyness as soon as Laura dumps her trip pictures out of the good camera and helps me. He's gotten to being really quite a bit too quick to photograph on my own with the icky camera.

I shot some new ones today of them in the baby pool after I was finished cleaning the brooder.

Starbuck was kind enough to pose, he's got huge leghorn legs - wait til you see. IF feather sexing works Starbuck might just be a she, but I don't count my pullets until they lay.

I have to do weights tomorrow, so there will be more pics coming to go with weights.

I have two roos who both drowned 3 times because they follow each other everywhere. Louie, the roo from Gatekeeper in Louisiana and Luau his faithful companion! They swim with the ducks and get wet and sink, it rains and they get caught in the wash, they jump on the water trough and I don't know if they fall in together or if one goes in and the other joins him. Good luck, you're gonna need it! At least my two little morons have survived numerous dunkings.

I vote for making TEA!!! Now he's not content getting into everything during the day. LAST NIGHT he had to go and WAKE me at 2am screaming bloody murder.

I scramble in the dark, stepping over the sea of dogs between me and the bedroom door. Athena wakes enough to lick my foot and thump. It's her version of "you okay?"
I pause long enough to rub her head and answer, "yeah fine." If I wasn't, she'd get up and lean on me, warning me.

Onward to the kitchen. Toward the screams. A few seconds of scanning the brooder reveals........ Dharma struggling with something. I don't have my glasses on...
Kneel, and reach for him. Gawwwsh almighty. There's a towel on the one side of the brooder for extra draft protection and useful hand drying... And Dharma has spent his evening UNRAVELING a thread, which he has now become snarled in. I spout an entirely new set of words and dredge up some I've been saving for a good long time, all the while gently unraveling the little idiot. PEEEEEEPPPPPP. Yeah, yeah, shut up it's 2am. Finally, pull the thread totally free, muttering at him. He calms. Slowly settling onto my palm. Mutter....Stupid stupid feathered flying monkey. oh geez, don't fall asleep... darn. He's asleep. Sat there staring helplessly. Finally slowly shifting until I'm not kneeling on the hard tile floor. I wish he'd stop doing that. How am I supposed to stay angry. By the time he finishes his nap it's twenty minutes later, one of me feet is asleep and my arse is half frozen.

I vote for chicken TEA! He could go a SINGLE DAY without something. Now he's in trouble at NIGHT? Gahhhhh.

Nevermind that he or Pax are the first out of the brooder and onto my hands. Others find trouble, usually one of the red/brown pack, Puddle, Punkin, Sparrow and Frack, just never as much trouble and NEVER as loudly or desperately.

He's headed for the teacup. Little maniac. :thun
