Diarrhea in Hens

I was going to pick up a couple hens today and the person I was getting them from just told me they seem to have VERY watery and smelly diarrhea.
Could this be something serious?

I would avoid picking up those chickens at all! They are obviously not in good health and could spread disease/illness to your existing flock.
