Discharged today!! I know it's off topic but just had to share ..I'm so relieved!

Oh lord I'm getting more nervous and antsy as the hatch day comes closer. I've rethought my brooder based on feedback here, I'm going to use a large sterilite tub for the brooder, then slide it inside the huge dog crate to keep nosy cats out. I can still easily slide it out for cleaning and maintenance, can still clearly see the chicks from the top, and now I won't have to worry about a cat tearing through plastic or getting a paw in there above the plastic and snagging a baby. They'll be able to sit on top of the crate and watch the babies, but there's hardware cloth there so they can't touch, even after the babies get big enough to make it to the top of the bin. . The chickies can point and laugh at the cats and say, "Nyah nyah, can't get us!"

I don't know how those of you who do a ton of hatches can stand the waiting and anticipation, honestly, I cannot wait to see the little chicks.
