OMG

This reminds me of something that was terrible!!


we had a dead pleco (one of those huge sucker fish) die in our fish tank years ago.


here is the story......


I came home from work to hearing major grumbling coming from the bath off our kitchen.....
set my purse on the counter kicked off my heals and
I walk in to see DH working frantically to unclog the toilet!

me "whats going on Hun"?
him "bleep #%$#% bleep fish and so on..."
me "Hun you put a fish in the toilet?"
him "YES for GODS SAKES BLEEP BLEEP FISH @#$@# BLEEP"
me "ok well what fish was it?
him "that F'n blleeep big one!"
me: "well which big one, hun?"
him "I don't Fn know! that big one da$%$@@!"
me "YOU PUT A 12" PLECOSTOMIS in the toilet and expected it to flush!" "you Fn bleep bleep @#$@#$ idiot!"
him "why you getting all worked up about it?"
me "take the dam toilet apart and get it O U T of the DRAIN NOW!"

two hours later and 50 bucks into a drain line medal cleaner thinger...... fish is removed and everything back to normal

him "sorry hun, I will go buy you a new fish"
me "WHAT! "

Here's my poor Alexander. It's been exactly 1 week since the fight. I've never seen him droop his tail feather like this before and he's pretty weak. He hasn't eaten or drunken anything since the fight, but I've been tube feeding him to keep him hydrated. I think it might be time to let him go, but he seems so happy with is girls and he looks like he wants to continue on.

So sorry Poor guy.

Came home on lunch to check on the ladies and that one egg is zipping! I can see it's beak and hear it chirping away!

I know instant is easier to do, but it's very important to me to know they are going out without pain.  I really can't imagine someone going through my neck, even if it's instant. 

Your right though..  I guess it's a decision I'll have to make when the time comes. I've been very fortunate so far.

I'm still torn up about Alexander.  He still won't eat or drink on his own...

Ya im more for the co2 them just going to sleep and not waking up havent had to do it yet but i think its the first thing i would try, hope alexander makes it

Pop quiz for anyone who might know, she was bought at a farmers market and was just wondering what she might be as i have never had a chicken before that lays greeny blue eggs??

the egg makes me think EE .. that is what my girls eggs looked like
picture makes me think some kind of EE cross .. but i am no expert

By the way, I went down to go tube feed him again and I noticed that he had less food in his dish. He must have been eating on his own! I still gave him water through the tube because his crop felt empty, but then I added some food to his dish and he pecked at it. Oh, I'm so happy. I was sure that I was going to lose him. Thank-you everyone for the prayers!

This is the first time that he has eaten food in a week.
