My first ever hatch of chicks are 3 1/2 weeks old. I'm on day 9 of my second hatch and 11 out of 15 are developing. These embryos are so much more wiggly and active Han the first batch. :). I plan to do one more hatch after the present one and then sit back and enjoy my babies.

awesome and you think you will sit back and not hatch? Bawahahahhahhaaaaaaaa

I think I see the yolk on this one! these guys are not near ready it takes so much longer for ducks to get through rest period. Now you took these from the hen? and your putting them in the bator now right?
Yes I took em from her u should of seen the outer membrane on this one it was almost as bad as the pic you have in your assist article and it was stuck to her bill. That is the yolk you can see it even better when she breathes and moves. So this one pipped and make a huge hole really low huh? Is it ok that I left that outer membrane in there a little cause its stuck to the inner? Oh yes they are in the bator on wet paper towels. By the way how did u put this pic on here from my profile? I have never had trouble til now with pics

i was thinking exactly the same. after three hatches you will need a 12 step program to get off this crack

x2

I had no idea it'd be this addicting. My incubator is off for the first time in 5 months, it seems so lonely.. But I should be getting a pair of Sebastopol geese this weekend and I will be incubating every egg she lays.

Lol! Im trying to think positively people!!!!!! But actually, I have a very small backyard so unless I'm hatching them for someone else, I won't have room.
