My catch up...
Wow I can't keep up with all you chatty folks!! Wish I could contribute more!

Chicks are a week old between today and tomorrow. They have their normal chick feed and I have given them live meal worms a couple times...what can I give them next?
Chick grit makes a wonderful treat. They get so excited. If you can't get chick grit I think the contractors sand from like home depot or lowes would work and is half the price. Just sift out the big stuff and give them the finer stuff. They need grit before any treats otherwise they could get impacted crops.
Floppy and Huntchback Frozen egg chickies Update.....

Floppy hasn't flopped since about 2 pm today YAY!! I will take the foot pad off tomorrow and see if toes stay straight. Eating drinking and being a great chick.

Hunchback is fine, but should be named crooked neck as the neck isn't drooped she moves it fine when she wants to but she always goes back to that tuck side position. weird.
I hold her and make her look the otherway and she does it fine and even will fall asleep in my hands like so.

CAPTION THIS!
OMG did you see what she posted on facebook!!!

Not yet...I only gave them 4 meal worms, they all haven't eaten them...I have been having trouble finding chick grit...both my my local TSC were out...can I do the stuff they have in the pet section at Wal-Mart?
See previous about comment about contractor sand. Grit first treats after.
x2

I had no idea it'd be this addicting. My incubator is off for the first time in 5 months, it seems so lonely.. But I should be getting a pair of Sebastopol geese this weekend and I will be incubating every egg she lays.
Ohhhhh can't wait to see pics of them. They have to be my favorites.

she is fine as she is for quite some time yet.  I hope she makes it, she is positioned weird the poor thing

I know Sally went night night but now I'm really stressin! My ducky is in a wacko position and I can see the yolk so when will I know the yolks absorb? Her vessels are disappearing quickly but this is only my second time assisting and the first time I was too late they were already shrink wrapped. I need a 1800 line for when I hit rock bottom in my addiction!

i was thinking exactly the same. after three hatches you will need a 12 step program to get off this crack
I only have two chicks hatched and I can already predict group meetings in a musty church basement with stale donuts and bitter, diluted coffee in my future.

well maybe she will be ok thru the night .. i am not the best at giving advice yet myself .... maybe someone else will put a word or tow in here for ya

If the duckling is breathing and doesn't seem too distressed, leave it. It will be just fine. One night longer won't hurt anything, especially if you still see yolk. Good Luck!

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I just checked on her and her sibling and they are both peeping, actually she's squawking at me!

I agree with both of u Cochins & Oz I am just leaving her but I just freaked a tiny bit when she said I hope she makes it. Cause in my fairy world I didn't think of the possibility that she might not since I caught the shrink wrapping in time. I'm am completely sitting on my hands and only putting more bacatracin on when needed (about every 4-5 hours) at the same time making sure the paper towels at still wet. Oh my god is she ****** though, peeping at me whenever she hears my voice so I'm leaving her alone so she will rest. Hopefully my patience will pay off!
