Bantam eggs sometimes hatch early because they are so small. I had a bantam X hen once who's eggs always hatched on day 18. Bump up the humidity and stop turning.

Lazy today. Working on a 2nd pot of coffee (decaf). I am too old for caffine after noon. Freezing cold. I had to go cover plants in the garden. Looks like I am growing milk jugs. scooped the coop and made sure everyone was warm.

How long have you been in ireland? Im in Galway and it only rained for about an hour today with plenty of sunshine before then unfortunately it doesn't really get better then that lol

Broody question... she sat for two days now, can I add cold eggs to her or should I bator them until warm and give them?

and if they are dark marans will she reject them?

I brought the eggs to room temp so they were warm to the touch them added them and they hatched fine, i have never been lucky enough to have marans though
