money!

actually painted have splotches of solid colors and splash have more spotted coloring, typically blue splash, or light blue splash coloring.
Painted can be white with large black splotches and AMAZING!  I think genetically they are hard to make and it takes a lot of crossing back and forth all of which someone like me has no clue even to begin to understand! But I do love them!  oh and Silver Partridge are also gorgeous!

Oh ok!! I can see a little difference in picks now that you explained it! Thanks!! I'm hatching those next

Hey, I need happy hatching wishes or prayers coming my way. I have waited a LOOOONG time for baby Call Ducklings. The lady that is hatching them for me said that tomorrow is the official hatch date, so hoping I hear some great news soon!

GOOD LUCK! GOOD LUCK! GOOD LUCK!!!
We also have been waiting for calls we had one last year and he was killed, he was my husbands baby and it crushed us.
So our 2 snowy call eggs from 12 shipped go into lockdown on Monday (I also have 1 more that developed out of a different batch of 8 shipped that goes into lockdown in a couple weeks) and I'm biting my nails (insert Sally's smiley face here) I know calls are sometime difficult little buggers too hatch so I also need luck too!
Anyway I'm sending u fluffy healthy call duckling vibes!!!!!!

We have one silkie out 8 pips and one I already opened up, 10 of 10 of my own eggs. The one I opened had a large long air cell and couldn't pip, so I waited until the rest pipped to investigate it, good thing I marked it for caution! it was not able to turn and I had to internally pip and pull its head up, it is dry : ( it chirped so perhaps it will live? if its still alive by morning it has a WONDERFUL chance for survival.... the rest will hopefully be doing something by the morning!

yay more babies you hatch addict you lol - GOOD NIGHT SALLY

I have movement in my chicken eggs that were in the same bator as the ducks. Why would the ducks be shrink wrapped and not the chickens? Or could they be? Jeez. I'm with you Sally. I hate styrofoam. Dad and I use to incubate eggs years ago and we had a big cabinet type. It was rare that we didn't hatch all the eggs or at least 90%. We talked about that tonight. He hasn't had good success with styrofoam either. The lady he sold the cabinet too 20 years ago still uses it and had great success. We couldn't remember the brand but it cost 600 bucks 25 years ago. You sure get what you pay for. I may just buy a good one instead of building one.

Ducks need a higher humidity so yes that is very possible

I don't have a turner! I have always read 102 at the TOP of the egg in still air, I don't think it matters with turner or not, that way the "inner" part gets the warmth as well.
You got this! read the article and catch the errors before its too late and you got yourself some chicks!
Yes! Thanks a bunch. I am not setting them till I got it down exacta mondo!! If I have to ill start them in my fan one. I got till wed to sort it so I will run it empty for a few days!!!

Just looking at ordering a dozen cuckoo Maran Eggs 6 Araucana, 6 Legbar and a dozen various coloured Leghorns. I have heard that Marans are very hard to incubate. So before I even buy them can anyone give me the low down on these chickies??
