I use those little dollar store baskets in the styro hatcher if I have an assist, well I had that wrong end pip one yesterday if you saw and had her in the basket and one of the brahma chicks must have jumped up and in it and the brahma has a big stripe burn down her side! I put veterycin on it, but now I wont use the baskets anymore for sure! the poor thing squeeked when I put the stuff on it! its about an friggen inch long too and beat read and no feathers down to skin for petes! I cant imagine those brooder things, but at least those they can get away from if they are smart enough when they are that little! I am surprised that they go above 99 degrees actually wow!

Bless her little heart!

*reminds self to get veterycin, has seen it working some wonders*

Are you all talking about the brooder heat things from brinesa? I have wondered about them. Pretty sure I will just stick with my old fashioned heat lamp with a dimmer switch.
