as far as DH, 4 years ago he had diverticulitis and they removed a lot of his large intestines, and this lower part is where its sticking out again. So he knows what he is in for, he also has one at his belly button which they told him is ok unless it gives him issues, the lower left quad I don't think they can let it go, I don't know what we will do as far as cash if he is out yet again, this has been some rough winter months for us with my hospital issues Lucas's and all this other crud heath wise! I know it could be worse, but I am so sick of all this crap coming. It seems as soon as I get the savings back up its gotta go again.

Hey everyone. I'm so far behind here I'm not going to try and catch up. Had a bit of a crisis yesterday. We had the 4 young chickens outside in their coop and the wind was so crazy yesterday morning, it blew the coop down. The whole thing collapsed with them inside

One got hurt, but seems to be o.k. now (touch wood), one got killed, the other two were freaked out but unharmed. I'm still upset and in shock, so sorry if I'm not feeling talkative today, I'm still in a bit of a mess. I feel awful about the one that died. We didn't even go clean the mess up yet. I can't look at it without seeing that poor thing

At least it seems it was instant, she didn't suffer...

I have a new issue, I have our Ancona Drake trying to kill the brahma roosters in the run!

I locked him alone in the duck house for now, DH heard the commotion and came running and said I need to get rid of the ducks or he will get rid of them.

The one rooster is ripped top of wattle down about 4 inches long! we put veterycin on it but DH don't care, the ducks have to go.

I don't need this crap after I called the processing guy and dealing with setting all that up! why cant everyone even ducks and chickens get along!

Oh no! I sure hope nothing like that comes between my drake and roosters.

The other day, I heard quite the commotion and I looked around. Tom Jr. (my rooster) was "getting it down" with little Moe (my drake). Tom Jr. was trying really hard and wouldn't give up. I quickly got him off of him, but little Moe was not happy.

Hopefully I'll be able to separate them soon. I only have 5 ducks left. I sold the rest; they are just too messy.

Well I am worried now, I don't want to give a physco drake to anyone! He may be headed to my dads freezer camp with the roosters!

The males are fighting over breeding rights. Sally girl I feel you on the savings. Seems like I get money in the bank and something goes wrong. Somedays I think it would be better just to stay in bed. Then maybe it would all fix itself.

Don't they sell Turduckins at Thanksgiving. Aren't you getting some turkeys? I see turduckins in your future. I love watching the ducks but one of ours is getting on my nerves. Oh and ducks not raised on a pond will not go into the pond willingly. I have to pick them up and carry them to the water. So for those of you thinking ducks on your pond would be great get a duck hen that was raised on a pond to raise babies on the pond. Otherwise they just play in their drinking water.

Maybe he was just protecting his girls? In that case, they should simply be kept separate from the other birds.

3 cups of coffee and a locked down bator later I am finally caught up. Oh and I think I sold The Terrorist. If the guy shows up tonight he will be going to his own flock of blue orp girls. Yay because I really was not wanting to eat The Terrorist. He has always been my favorite and the only one I named.
