This is WHAT A BROODER that is too small looks like!!! Since I am on light duty (ugg) I need to enlist hubby to make a HUGE brooder out of anything he can find tomorrow!!
I may even use the puppies playyard since I dont have them anylonger

BTW I cried like a freakin baby too!!!

Anyway... they move way too fast and too much, but I think the total is 25 OOPS and as you can see mostly brahma and 1 polish, 7 from Chad (patrickschick) and a tiny leghorn bantam and 2 that have leg feathers but I have NO IDEA what they are!! they are dif than the rest!! a grey and a multi color

I hope so too, what stinks is trying to figure out how to get to doctor as I have kids early and somedays up till 8pm and these past weeks have been horrible for the parents of the kids I sit without having a sitter, I so cant afford to loose anyone... so I dont know what I am going to do, I will make calls on monday and figure it all out.

Mostly recycled materials for the coop, two paint colors, all we have to finish up is our storage "step" under the door for chicken treats, ACV etc. Plans for using more pickets for the step box!

Sally your Hinckel Haus is so cute!

Hatch Update;
shipped 12 EE, 0 chicks
shipped 13 black copper marans 2 chicks
my own 7 banty cross 4 chicks

disappointed; have had a harder time keeping even temps this hatch. I think probably because I do not have central heat and there is more flucuation in temp in my house. They have been on the cool side so will leave a bit longer. will eggtopsy just to see what happened.

I do have more eggs coming this week, Welsummer and a few true Ameraucauna. Think I'll move the bator to a slightly warmer spot and add things to help hold the temp as well as keeping it wrapped up in a blanket.
