Good luck with the contest, Sally! I'm thinking of entering the Funny Chicken story one, just for fun. You really must stop posting hatching chick pics. I'm getting broody here LOL. And I know where to buy an incubator... And I got my first egg this morning

And no, I can't! I only got permission to keep up to 10 chickens here.

Does anyone know what to do about a chick with curled toes? And good luck with the contest!!!
I have been working with one chick, Curly, that hatched with fist feet and is now still curly toed, but I am still working on it. I have read to give vitamin supplements which worked on one of my chicks that hatched with a slight curled toe. taping is supposed to help for curly toe which is what I am still doing for Curly. I was using bandages and splints. Now I am using electrical tape. Great tip for bandages is use baby oil to remove the bandages and hand sanitizer to clean up the oil.

I love the kid made brooder. How are you feeling? I am now the proud owner of a PB monitor and cholesterol meds. I feel so old.
