I candled the goose eggs tonight (day 4) and I'm pretty sure I saw the embryos!

I am not down on ducks - I love the meat. the eggs are great in baking and scrambled for breakfast.

I just dont want them anywhere near where I could be barefooted and have that green/black/white excrement ooze up between my toes when I tread in it

Because the ducks are crazy messy, I decided to sell nearly all of mine, including my crested drake little Moe. I had a very knowledgeable guy come pick up my last trio (little Moe and 2 girls) for $25. He described the home he had to offer and explained his purposes for them and I felt that they were going to a great home. This just happened Thursday night.

Today I went to an animal swap. I was able to sell some of my extra chicks, and I found Aflac a girlfriend. Just as I was about to pack up and leave, I heard a drake go nuts. A very loud panicky whisper. I went over to see what was going on and it was him with little Moe! He was selling little Moe for $20! That made me so mad... The guy buying him changed his mind, and even though I shouldn't have, I felt bad for my little Moe so I bought him back. What a waste...

Oh well, Moe was sure happy to be back and I do love the little guy.
