What's this in the sky!! The sun, I do say the sun!! :celebrate :weee

It's here, too! :weee

No, wait.... There it goes away again.. :( Local weather says it will be Thursday til it clears. I am so sick of rain. My poor broilers are walking mud balls. I move their pen, but it's been raining two weeks straight now, and all my "broiler pads" have not had a chance to recover. Ugh. Thinking about plunking down for a couple bales of hay to get them off the mud. These are going to be some very expensive "spensive homegrown chicken."

seems like such a waste to eat them don't it? Can I not set them? I cant.
You got to eat sometimes, you know? All this hatching is hard work

I also do 4, sometimes 5 tablespoons to a gallon water.

4 is what an old timer told me and I swear by the old timers. At least thru the pasty butt phase then I alternate a plain water one day and ACV water the next. And then I get lazy and they get water until I remember to take the ACV back out with me.

My chicks have been outside since they were a week old. I have raised and lowered their 1 light a few times depending on the temps. They seem to fill out and feather faster.

My ducks want to stand around the water and drink and spill it until its gone. I have a gallon container for 4 one month old ducks. Is this normal?

Yes. How many times a day are you refilling it? They probably are wanting something they can dunk their head in. They need to be able to wash their eyes and nostrils. Have fun with the mess. It grows in proportion to their bodies.
