I'm sure this has been covered many times but I'm in a big hurry today and won't be able to get on here to read again until tonight when it starts raining (trying to build the coop). I have an egg shipment (6 eggs) coming in the next couple of days. I have a second batch (18 eggs) coming next week. Should I stager the hatch or hold this weeks eggs until the others come and start them all together? The first batch is coming from a BYC'er and the second is coming from MyPetChicken if that changes anything. Im using a store bought forced air bator with the egg turner. I've had it on for a week waiting for the eggs, temps steady at 99.6-100.2 humidity I'm unsure of because the 3 hygrometers all read differently. I'm building the coop they will be living in now but in the next 7 days I only have 2 that aren't raining to complete it. Thanks for any advice.![]()

I have time to post in one place right now. I have a BCM coming out. It was pipping before noon, and is really getting there now. Cannot post pics, but I am wondering if it is okay that it seems to be pipping (or is it zipping?) down the egg instead of around? It is not a big hole yet, it may still zip around the top.
One of my buff orpingtons came out black. Hmmmmm
