One of my buff orpingtons came out black. Hmmmmm
Heartbreaking! Seems like predators really do their homework. . .hope the others will be safe and grow up strong!Yes it does. And they are in an old duckhouse with the roof taken off. So it's like a large wooden box. It doesn't have a roof. But it is INSIDE the chicken coop. But they are amazing at flying, so they flew out and were running around the yard. Then we saw the hawk flying above, hurried to get the babies in, but before we caught the last pulley, she was in the hawk's claws, and the hawk was flying away...
The chicks have been moved into a very large dog cage, so they can't get out.
Lost even ANOTHER again today. Right after I lost one pullet to the hawk, I went out again and one just... Disappeared... The chicken coop was closed and locked. There's no way she could have gotten out. I looked all over the coop. Nothing. No holes where rats can get in. She's just... Gone. I am down to 2 chicks. I have never lost this many chicks before! EVER! Since 2 months ago, when these babies hatched, I lost 10 chicks!!! This has never happened! At the most, I lose 2, but never 10!
Adorable babies!what up peoples? I went to take pics of puppies for an older couple, I take care of her ads online to sell pups, the horse boarding and pups is their income so I try to help where I can! We met 2-3 years ago and I just adore them! Hard working farmer/horse farmers or is that ranchers?
She breeds miniature and toy Australian Sheps, Puppies are hard to take pics of! Almost as bad as CHICKS!![]()

OOOOOOOOO. I looked at my calendar. The buff eggs are set to hatch Saturday. These are Blue Laced Red and Gold Laced wyandottes and buff/blrwyandottes that are hatching. Looks like its going to be a good hatch.
